bubo was designed for a small IT team and has really just grown from there. We were asked to design a system which kept an eye on a number of Servers (remote desktops, Domain Controllers, File servers etc) and services, so we didn't need to increase the staff numbers and even decrease work-load of current staff, so we came up with bubo.
It helps us oversee all IT related devices in one handy screen. With a simple
means its up or 
means its down, and we have a problem somewhere. We can even see temperatures (you will need an additional handy sensor from Sensorpush), last deactivated and created AD accounts (this was something that came as a result of a cyber attack), Internet
connections, ERP systems, the list goes on. If you can communicate with a device and know the port number it runs over, then bubo can keep an eye. It will even email you as soon as it goes down.

..bare in mind we can add other monitoring tools to this to - we have added MRP checks (SQL Server) Amount of staff in (net2) in the past.
